Getting to know – Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village

Sciontec recently caught up with Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village’s General Manager, Howard Lewis, to find out more about the stunning new hotel and what makes it so unique.
Strategically located in the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) innovation district, the hotel provides a welcoming, relaxing, and unforgettable hospitality destination for visitors and the local community to enjoy.
The hotel occupies a unique location in Paddington Village, surrounded by world-renowned education and research institutions, leading medical and healthcare facilities and an innovation community of fast growing science, tech and digital businesses.
Not only a UK first in terms of its global design concept, the hotel is a game changer for this part of Liverpool, having been created in consultation with KQ Liverpool stakeholders to serve this specific audience.
Howard Lewis, General Manager at Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village, explained:
“In addition to the 221 bedrooms, our hotel offers 39 unique long stay suites, all within one brand and building, which are ideal for hospital visitors or academic project staff to use for an extended period of time.
“Our communal areas have also been designed to facilitate networking and regular engagement between the local health and education ecosystems, and we already see ourselves as an integral part of the innovation district.”

Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village has worked hard to embed its roots in Liverpool by using a host of local suppliers across its food and beverage offer, including Bean Coffee, Love Lane Brewery, Rascal Gin and Laura’s Little Bakery.
Its friendly and engaging staff also provide the famous Liverpudlian warm welcome that visitors to the city have come to expect, and Howard believes that it is the people that set the hotel apart on a national scene.
“Our 100+ employees represent 11 different nationalities and everyone is working together to make Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village the place to come to in the city.”
Having recently been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the North West Regional Construction Awards in the ‘Collaboration and Integration’ category through Morgan Sindall, the hotel hopes to be recognised for its high quality services in the coming years.
