KQ Futures
KQ Futures is our inclusive innovation programme targeted at primary school through to sixth form students across Liverpool City Region, which aims in transforming career aspirations and better align them into local opportunities in key future growth sectors, including health and life sciences and other cross-cutting sectors.
There are a number of different strands to the KQ Futures programme, a number of which are summarised as follows:
Animates
A children’s book which aims to introduce the concept of innovation in Liverpool City Region to local primary school age students. The book is supported by a lesson plan and we are currently developing a roadshow that will be delivered in schools.
Career Insights
An annual large-scale event for Year 7 – 9 students giving them the opportunity to meet some of the businesses working in the Region and take part in an interactive, group activity to enhance the essential skills employers look for.
Future Innovators
An insight day for Year 10 to 13 students which gives them the opportunity to see behind the doors of KQ Liverpool’s innovation organisations and businesses, to showcase the diverse range of career opportunities in the sector and break down barriers to opportunities. Our Future Innovators Programme prospectus can be found here.
KQ Interns
A 3 week programme running over the summer holidays offering 10 students across Liverpool City Region a fully-funded Living Wage placement with KQ Liverpool and a local business to enhance their understanding of the world of work and local opportunities. Applications are now open to take part in this internship, and more details can be found here.
