PADDINGTON VILLAGE
HEMISPHERE
Boasting the central position on Paddington Village, HEMISPHERE will be a new, 7-storey, standout-out 120,000 sq ft building – A place where innovation meets inspiration.

Breaking ground in 2022 and costing in the region of £31m, it will be built to achieve a Platinum WELL standard and will also be the first net-zero carbon building in the Liverpool City Region.
Complimenting its iconic neighbour, The Spine, HEMISPHERE will be designed to showcase a different part of the human anatomy – The brain.
Getting its name from the two sides of the human brain, where the right hand cerebrum is creative and imaginative and the left academic and logical, HEMISPHERE will embody these characteristics.
Taking inspiration from this, the building’s design is revolutionary, with it being quite literally split down the middle. Each side will have its own personality, look and feel and will feature elements that differentiates it from the other.
There will also be an industrial collaboration hub on the ground floor, providing opportunities for any one from students and innovators to freelancers and large corporates, to meet and collaborate.
Down the centre will be an incredible light installation that replicates the Longitudinal Fissure, which is the part of the body that is responsible for transferring information from the brain to the rest of the body.
HEMISPHERE will be surrounded by 8m of public greenspace and rather than taking the outside in, will take the inside out. With outdoor workspace and spaces for exercise and relaxation, it will provide somewhere for both occupiers and the general public to enjoy.
The building will be incredibly flexible, future proofing it for many years to come – Gone are the days where adapting, dividing, or splitting a building it too costly to consider.
In a world where we are being encouraged to social distance and spend time out in the open, extra attention will be given to these spaces, connecting them seamlessly with the ground floor/reception area, ensuring that there is sufficient shade and shelter from the elements.
Finally, the positioning and design of the ground floor amenities will also encourage people to interact, explore and embrace our wonderful city.
